Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy took on a "surfer flamenco." They began fully clothed, spinning around the floor, but ended up stripping down to bathing suits and splashing in a pool of water at the top of the stage. The performance drew mixed reviews from the judges. "It had a lot of passion and a lot of fire, but it was erratic," Tonioli criticized. Inaba thought that the couple didn't fulfill the "flamenco" aspect of their assignment. "It was a paso [doble]. The flamenco was basically nonexistent," she said. Monaco and Chmerkovskiy finished the night with a sultry rumba to "I Just Can't Stop Loving You." The couple even shared a passionate kiss at the end of the routine. "Well, that was smoldering. The chemistry between you two is literally singeing," Tonioli said. Even Goodman was moved by the sexy performance. "I love it when you speed it, then slow it down," he said.
