Assigned the "espionage Lindy Hop," Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke danced to "Secret Agent Man" by Johnny Rivers, with Smith playing a detective and Burke acting as a villain. The judges praised Smith's amped-up energy level. "I would have liked a little more Lindy Hop, but the whole package was fantastic," Goodman said. Tonioli compared Smith's slick moves to those of a "Looney Tunes James Bond," and Inaba called it his "most animated performance ever." Score: 27
Smith and Burke tangoed to "Leave Me Alone." Again, the judges praised his effort, but thought his technique still needed work. Goodman admitted that the pair probably had the most difficult dance. "The footwork could have been more exact, but the power was there," Tonioli said. Inaba commended Smith for "bringing your A game," but pointed out a few of the couple's mistakes. Score: 27, for a total of 54
